Taekwondo Training For All Age Groups and Fitness Levels
Sun Taekwondo is a martial arts center where we not only focus on taekwondo techniques, but also the humility and discipline that is essential for our student’s growth. It is important to have balance of both techniques and discipline to achieve greater goal.
These trademark teaching is what differentiates us from rest.
We encourage everyone to participate in some physical activity everyday. Our Taekwondo training is geared towards all age groups and fitness levels. There are additional benefits to Taekwondo, such as weight loss, it builds strength, discipline, improves flexibility, self-confidence and cardio. Adult Taekwondo

At Sun Taekwondo, students learn the art of self defense, importance of respect towards others, obedience and self confidence. Please contact us for more information.
F.U.N Camp
Our F.U.N Camps are offered during Spring, Summer breaks and some ’No School’ days. It’s a great opportunity for students to make new friends, go for field trips and train together.
After-School
Our after-school program schedule includes Transportation, Tae-Kwon-Do lessons, homework time, reading, and other various activities. Please contact us for more information.
Taekwondo Benefts
Even though Taekwondo is an individual sport, we at Sun Taekwondo encourage learning and practicing together. We have tests for color belts every three months and every six months for black belts. To qualify, we train together and celebrate all achievements together.
Our instructors create an environment to learn and focus. Students are encouraged to interact with their peers and socialize at events. Below are some additional benefits of Taekwondo.
Weight Loss
Training requires you to punch, kick, block, jump, which requires strength and stamina.
Taekwondo classes involve mastering your poomses, which requires repetition. These drills not only tone your muscles but increases your flexibility and increase your cardio activity which may lead to weight loss.
Strength
Taekwondo is derived from the Korean word ’Tae’ – foot, ‘Kwon’ – fist, and ‘Do’ – way of. In other words, the way of the foot and fist’. A combination of dynamic punching and kicking drills, blocks, and core-strengthing ensure you build strength and stamina. It also increases your balance, coordination, and flexibility.
Discipline
Taekwondo not only helps with your physical but also with mental discipline. To learn the various techniques and perfecting them requires self-discipline. It is part of the training you have to master if you want to learn Taekwondo. In kids, you may notice behavioral changes and better grades in school.
Flexibility
Practicing forms (Poomsae) require you to focus on your stance, punch, and kicks while keeping balance. Your body needs to relax and work in harmony as you move.
Flexibility is key to better control, especially with your kicks and punches.
Self Confidence
Keeping a positive attitude and outlook about yourself gives you more confidence in maintaining that balance and achieving your goals. Not only in Taekwondo, but also at work, school, other sports. Practicing Taekwondo regularly makes you confident and increases your self-esteem. The skills you build gives you the confidence to defend yourself when needed.
Cardio
All programs at Sun Taekwondo are designed to help you develop and maintain your body. Cardio, which includes physical exercise, conditioning, and stretching, is the first thing you do at the beginning of each class. This not only increases your heart rate but also gets your body ready to focus and reducing the chance of injury.
